Chocolate chip cookies

Hey Chocoholics,

Chocolate chip cookies are probably the easiest thing to make and ruin. Like toast they can be burned. But with little effort they can taste like gold and rainbows. My family has a really good recipe, but we constantly alter it in order for it to be as healthy as possible and delicious at the same time.

One of the recipes I found while looking for one was from the New York Times and claims to be "The best chocolate chip cookies", so naturally I had to try them and they're really delicious.

Here's the recipe : http://cookingactress.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-new-york-times-best-chocolate-chip.html?m=1

You guys have to try these! They are the perfect combo of chewy and crispy. Not too chocolaty (if that was even possible) and soft. They are best eaten warm like all cookies, but are delicious either way.

Keep omnom-ing!

Makeup DON'TS (part 1)

Sup,

I think makeup isn't only a fashion statement, but there's so much artistry behind it. That being said art can turn on terrible and so can a fashion piece.

There are many mess ups you can  make but I wanted to show you one and how to fix iy. I'm probably going to do a part 2 just because there are billion of "makeup don'ts". These are opinionated; you may like the way it looks, but from what I've seen and heard they are anything BUT flattering.

Now it's kinda obvious that the hope with makeup is that you have even skin, a nice eye, pretty lips; you get the idea. Makeup however can make you look worse. The idea is to wear on BIG statement like bright lips (or dark lips) and bold eyes, or bright cheeks; but all of them at once make you look like this....

With that in mind let's get started:

1) To much blush/bronzer. This can make you look like a clown and makes you like kinda stupid. This can be such a tragic thing, as if you are't paying attention you could end up looking like your really embarrassed. I constantly see Christian Aguilera wearing way too much blush and bronzer. I found about 4 whole pages of different pictures of her on google images looking like a clown.

How to avoid the "too much blush" look:

1) apply a small amount and add until you have enough, don't glob on a lot so you won't have to remove some

2) use a natural blush shade (or just something that isn't blinding); to find your natural shade clench your hand in a fist, the color you see by you knuckles is the closest color.

3) If you put on too much instead of pulling out the wipes just apply a bit more of your all-over face powder. This will mute the color a bit and then you can either go with what's left of the blush on your cheeks; or add a SMALL amount.

So I hope this helps you guys get a natural looking blush, that still looks bright enough for your standard without looking like you just ran a marathon. (here are some good blush looks)

Hope you had a great weekend!!

Rainy Day outfit with Bull

Hiya my Angry Birds,

It is almost Spring and that means rain (and flowers)! So whip out your rain boots and rain jacket!
I constantly faced a problem when it rain, I HATE MOST RAIN "GEAR". Most rain jackets look gross and awkward and most rain boots make me feel like I'm going camping. However Hunter has proved that rain boots can look cute and work!

For my outfit I started with a pretty blue rain coat and orange Hunter boots (my favorite color combo, blue and orange). I added some light was jeans and a comfy sweater and scarf, since spring can still be cold. Then I decided it need another pop so BRIGHT pink nail polish it was! And lastly I put in Alex and Ani bangles (I own three), on has a B  (for bull) and one has a bull (the symbol for taurus even though I'm a libra....) and a super cool bib necklace with bits of blue and gold to match the bangles!

If you guys like this outfit please comment and follow us on Polyvore ( Sheep-and-bull )!

Have fun Singing in the rain this Spring (teehe see what I did there)!

Sheep Buns

Salutations earthlings!

Ever had a bad hair day? And you're hair is just all over the place in a big frizzy mess?

Yeah, I know ALL about it.

And you're getting ready for school, and you're looking in the mirror, contemplating whether you should just act sick and stay home because your hair looks like hell or go to school and deal with the comments?

I know all about that too.

But, I've got a solution! It's a hairstyle that is equal parts cute, stylish, and effortless! And another plus is that your hair can be totally messed up and it will still work, probably work even better!

IT'S THE MESSY BUN! (or the sheep bun, as I call it)

Your hair can be wet, dry, ANYTHING, and the bun will look good.

Now you're probably thinking: it's just a bun, what's do great about it?

Well, it's all about TECHNIQUE. I know lots of people who try to do a bun but it just ends up falling apart because they didn't do it right.

However, I'm gonna teach you how:

Step 1: Comb all knots out of hair (could be wet, like just after you washed it, or dry. I prefer dry because it makes it look a little more relaxed and messy, and with wet hair, the bun looks too perfect, like a ballerina bun, which isn't what we're goin for here)
Step 2: Gather all hair like you're about to do a ponytail ( I do this by flipping my hair upside down and taking all my hair in my hand. It's a foolproof way to avoid bumps in your hair)
Step 3: Take a hair tie and wrap it once around your hair (make sure the hair tie is on your wrist so you can just pull it over, and still keep a tight hold on your hair so nothing comes loose)
Step 4: Take the hair tie again and wrap it around your hair, but only halfway through so it creates a loop hole (don't make the loop hole too big, or the bun will sag and fall apart. I wouldn't make the loop bigger than the size of your fist)
Step 5: Twist the excess hair outside the loop around the loop and hold it everything down (it's key to keep a tight grip on everything so nothing falls out!)
Step 6: Take the same hair tie and twist it again around the loop, now surrounded by the excess hair
Step 7: Enjoy!

If your bun falls apart at step 6, that's totally normal. It's hard to keep a tight grip on all the hair. I know there are a lot of people that use more than 1 hair tie and use clips and bobby pins and everything, but I think that just defeats the whole purpose of a MESSY bun.

Don't expect the outcome to look perfect, because that's not the point! It's supposed to look messy! And if strands fall out throughout the day, it looks even prettier!

So, bad hair day? No problem! Just tie it up in a bun and you'll look beautiful!

Try out this messy bun, and you'll love how it's so comfortable and effortless at the same time!

Anti-Car Crashing Campaign poster

Hey my enchiladas!

I was on Craftgawker (best app ever) and I was favoriting like every picture as usual. I came across this campaign by an agency in Brazil. This company called "terremoto propaganda" is aiming to lower the amount of car crashes and accidents on the road.

Besides the awesome idea behind this I also love the stage makeup cars and trucks. I love how this gets your attention facing the great cause!

Stay safe , happy, and healthy!!

Rolled up jeans with heels - bull time

Hey seƱoras!

I've noticed through much fashion drawing, constantly having a magazine in my hands and blogging; that fashion is all opinionated. Fashion isn't just "what am I wearing tomorrow?!", its an art form. Art can be extreme and odd; which many fashions do on the runway, but toned down versions of that style become very popular.

When I decided that rolled up jeans with heels was going to be my blog post today, Sheep didn't originally like my idea, which is totally fine. I hope you guys realize that fashion can be whatever you want it to be whether you are wearing T-shirts with jeans or skirts and blouses; it's your clothing. When I showed Sheep some pictures of outfits with jeans she actually likes some and made comments that were positive. Fashion isn't "i like this" and
"I hate this", you can be on the fence about things (I usually am).

We show you ideas of how to where a trend, because 99% of some popular clothing stores will change their clothing to fit a trend, whether you know it or not. We wanna help you so you look your best if your like "hmmm I don't know how this looks!". I am not all trendy all the time. I don't always where what's in often ill wear the opposite of what's in. I wore tall socks with old looking tall brown booties and a pleated skirt and blouse; the number of negative and posts one comments I got was outstanding. Some people made comments that would make some people be like "I'm never wearing this again" , but I didn't give a crap.

I'm the type who wears whatever. Yes, my style may be influenced by top designers but I thrift shop and constantly sew things to wear, that aren't in style. I wear my dads oversized sweaters all the time, because they're cozy and colorful and I like them.

I like my style. I'll wear what I want. You should be allowed to do just the same. So that I why today ill be doing a trend that I haven't seen in magazines, but something I have seen people get shit for wearing and show you some small tips.

So I would wear heels that don't have a thick strap around the ankle, because I've seen people wear it that way; jeans and heels work because its a cool contrast between very feminine and more tomboyish. This is mostly how my style works out. So a thick strap looks more masculine and goes against the original idea; thin ankle straps look cute though and any shoes with cutouts look awesome.

I would wear a nice pop of color (which could be as simple as white) to make the heels stand out; I mean go all in or go home. Just kidding. The bright color gives the outfit interest because jeans can be seen as boring.

Lastly don't fold up skinny jeans, these should by kinda large, like bootcut jeans.
Not saying however you need that sagging 90s style of pants either. Find something in the middle that you like.

Here are some pictures of inspiration!

You would rock any style!!!

Sheep's Passion for Passion Pit

Sup mini sheep?

It's my favorite post day: MUSIC MONDAY!!!  I've been dying to tell you guys about Passion Pit!  Passion Pit is band that makes alternative/indie rock music (the best kind of music).  My sister showed me the band first, and I was obsessed with one of their songs called Moth's Wings.   Then, I started listening to their whole album (Manners) and it was absolutely awesome!

I'm also obsessed with the band name...PASSION PIT...isn't that just the coolest name for a band?!

As usual, I found some other music and sorta forgot about Passion Pit :(.

And when this happens, SPOTIFY saves me!! If you guys don't know what Spotify is, it's on an online radio, kinda like Pandora, but I think it's way better because you can make playlists on there and save your favorite songs and there's way less commercials.  I was on Spotify the other day and while I was listening to one of my stations, a song by Passion Pit came on!

And I was like, "Oh my god, they're back!!!"

The song that came on is called Take A Walk from their new album called Gossamer.  This song just makes me want to get up and DANCE, it's got such a great beat.

So I clicked on their album and started listening to their whole album.  And it's not like one of those albums that only has one good song, and all the other songs are weird.  NO.  No, no, no, ALL of the songs on Gossamer are EXCELLENT!!  I've seriously been listening to them nonstop since the weekend.

Some of my favorites from Gossamer are Take A Walk (the song that sparked this whole thing), Hideaway (I literally can't get this song out of my head, it's too amazing), Constant Conversations, Love Is Greed, and It's Not My Fault, I'm Happy (yes, Passion Pit, I am just so happy too because your songs are awesome).

PLEASE check Passion Pit out, especially their new album Gossamer!  It'll change your life, seriously!

Kale chips with Bull

Hey my hungry hungry hippos,

I am a very health conscious person, but I still love all things yummy. You may have known this, but I'm actually a vegetarian; and I have been for about 8 years.

It's a joke among the veggie community that everyone loves kale, which is true for me! Kale is delicious and healthy and super easy to make into just about anything.

I've been making kale chips for about 2 years and I found my original recipe of a website that was closed :( , but I found one from Allrecipes.com that love.

It's Called SHEEP Casual

How goes it?

You may think me and Bull are all about high fashion and the latest styles and trends, but we also love causal and simple styles too.  Bull is way more trendy than me, she's always updated on the most recent styles.  But I just sorta wear what I like and do whatever I want.  I don't pay much attention to what's in style and what's strictly OUT (Bull actually told me about skater skirts and dresses being in now, but I just wear them because they're super cute :) )  Keeping up with what's going on in the fashion world is Bull's thing, I just create my own style from the things that I like   Sometimes, I wear cute skirts and dresses, other days, I throw on some jeans, sneakers, and a t-shirt and I'm all set!

So call me inconsistant, but whatever I like, I WEAR!  I love feeling comfy in my clothes, feminine tops and dresses, tomboy-ish clothes, preppy clothes, sporty outfits, nail polish, no nail polish, makeup, no makeup, EVERYTHING!  I just love every kind of style, even if they're complete opposites.

But today, I'm gonna talk about casual and comfy outfits, one of my all-time favorites.  It's nice to be wearing something that you can actually move in and feel comfortable in, right?  I chose this adorable, flowy, beachy tank top with a pair of light wash denim capris.

I really love capris because it allows your ankles to show and it makes the look more easy-going.  You can also cuff them a little (maybe twice, but not too much because then you'll look like a sailor or something...) and make the outfit even more relaxed!

I know I ALWAYS choose a messy bun for the hair style, but seriously, I'm obsessed with it!  I think it looks so effortless yet feminine, but it also looks sporty and a little tomboy-ish too!  See!  Total opposites!

Something that I've always been doing is wearing lots of bracelets.  Since summer of last year, I've been wearing the same bracelets on my right wrist, and I don't take them off no matter what outfit I'm wearing.  I wear a braided rope bracelet, 2 colorful friendship bracelets (HANDMADE!) and my camp bracelet all the time, even in the shower.  Yes, I know, it's pretty crazy, but I have an attachment to them, and I feel like it makes all of my outfits more "me" and unique.

The bracelets add color to the outfit and they're really easy to make!  You can buy them, but it's tons more fun to make them yourself, and do it with your friends, hence the term FRIENDSHIP bracelet ;).

The studded ring is very simple but cool.  And the shoes are just your basic Vans, but I chose purple ones because they add a pop of color.  The nice thing about this outfit though is that you can really change up the colors however you want.  You don't have to worry about neutrals and matching and if this goes with this and all that stuff.

To top everything off, I picked a necklace with a beautiful little sheep pendant, just like me :).  If you wanna keep the beachy theme, like the shirt, wear a flip-flop pendant or something else like that.

And that's my everyday casual outfit!  I hope it inspires you to go your own way and not just stick to one style, but play with all of them and make your own!
