Hair Stylin' with Sheep

What's up guys?

If you have hair like me, then you know how hard it is to keep the frizz down for the whole day.  You've probably tried many gels and mousses and stuff like that, but I find that those things are too heavy and weigh my hair down.  Mousse also brings out the curls in my hair, which is good, but the curls are extra stiff and crunchy, which is GROSS!

If you've read my other hair product post, you know that I use this AWESOME leave-in conditioner called Mixed Chicks.  It's super light, tames the frizz, and gives me nice waves and curls.  My sister, who is the queen of hair and hair products and everything having to do with hair, showed this to me, and it's great.

She also went to Sally's Hair/Beauty Salon and got me hair cream/gel called Noodle Head.  It smells like coconut, but not too strong, which I LOVE!  I don't like having such strong-smelling hair, which is why I stopped using the Moroccan Curl Activator.  It's this pale orange cream that has Argan Oil (which is nothing but GREAT for your hair, makes it really smooth!).  It smells really good, but it's just so strong. People could smell me from, like, 50 feet away.

Anyways, Noodle Head is kind of like a shimmery white curl activating cream, and it's great if you have wavy to curly hair like me.  If you have spiral curls, like my sister, then this will be too light for you.  Mousse works better for spiral curls, but for waves/light curls, try Noodle Head.

I don't use this product every day, but I'm starting to use it more and more.  I usually just put Mixed Chicks in my hair and leave it that.  It creates a light wave for me.  But if I wanna go out and have a little bit more curls and waves, I put in Mixed Chicks and Noodle Head.

I suggest getting some sort of leave-in conditioner to put on before you put on Noodle Head because a leave-in conditioner controls the frizz, which is another plus.  It also will make the other product hold better.

To use Noodle Head:

Step 1: Wash hair, or wet hair (hair needs to be wet either way)
Step 2: Apply any leave-in conditioner all throughout hair (I suggest Mixed Chicks, my FAVE and the current product I'm using, or the Garnier Fructis leave-in conditioner, which I also have and works well too)
Step 3: Put about a quarter-sized amount (depends on how much hair you have) of Noodle Head and scrunch hair (start at ends of hair and work your way up, creating bouncy curls)
Step 4: Don't touch it! Touching your hair too much after you put any product in will just ruin the whole purpose of the product!
Step 5: Enjoy!

I hope you guys get this product and like it as much as I do! Stay curly (not frizzy I hope!) my sheep!

Nerdy pictures with Bull

Hey guys!

Obviously if you've ever seen my bedroom, you'd know that I am a huge geek on the inside. I love video games, tall socks, Harry potter and mine craft.

I've been getting back into drawings and looking at a lot of really cute nerdy drawings.

This first one I drew. The bombs were inspired by the Bomboms in Mario and them exploding into my nickname; bull.

The second drawing is one I found online of someone's doodles in math class, something I was the master at! It features Zelda, Mario, Pokemon and many more of my favorite things!

I've been exploring the 'nerd' tag on twitter, pheed, Pinterest and tumblr.

Anyways I hope you guys like these! Stay nerdy! Have a great day!

Trendy Tuesday with Sheep

Hey there!

Today's trend is a-line and skater skirts and dresses. I absolutely LOVE a-line cut things! They're just so flattering on any body type and it looks very cute and flirty.

I've created some outfits using the a-line cut, each using the cut in a different way.

The first outfit is a very casual and cute outfit. I chose a mint (which is also in style!) colored skater skirt and a casual gray shirt with green and blue accents to go with the skirt. I added a bunch of other bright colors like purple and orange to make the outfit a little more lively. The light pink nail polish makes the other pieces stand out more. The high bun with the French braid (one of the coolest hairstyles...seriously) and the brown leather sandals top off the everyday look.

The second outfit is a little more dressy but still very flirty and sweet. I chose a bright orange a-line dress. The super cute black wedges and bow ring make the dress look even brighter, since black is neutral. I picked gold bangles and a gold necklace because I think it goes well with the orange and adds a little shininess to the outfit. The bag is that great mint color (I just love mint!), and I chose it because the outfit needed some more color besides the orange or another neutral, so I thought I would pick a pastel bag!

The last outfit is a fancy, going out ensemble, and it's daring and I LOVE it! I chose a simple black skater skirt. I think a black skirt is essential to have in your closet because it goes AND looks great with everything, and there's so many different outfit options with it. The fact that the skirt is a-line brings some movement to the outfit and makes it look more girly and flowy. The shoes are quite a statement, and so are the earrings and the ring. I was so adventurous with the accessories because I paired the black skirt with a burgundy crop top, so I had room to add color.

The bottom line is A-LINE!! It's so simple yet so cute and spunky! AND you can wear it however you want! AND it's very comfortable!

So go out and get some skater skirts, and you'll find endless outfits to make with them. I actually went to H&M and got a gray one and a burgundy one (shown below). And they were pretty cheap too. Another plus!

Stay laughing, my sheep, in those wonderful a-line cut garments!

Bull's Music Monday - spectrum

Hey music maniacs!

If your anything like me you love Florence + the Machine! Right now I'm in love with Spectrum (say my name).

This song is beautiful, it was mixed by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris (it's sounds really upbeat and electro).

The song is full of Florence Welch belting chords, a rousing piano, and delicate strings.

I absolutely love songs that aren't classical with strings or an orchestra in it.

This song is so upbeat (which isn't Florence's style) but it doesn't compromise her signature sound.

Florence is not only a favorite songstress of mine, but also a hipstress fashionista!

Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this song and keep on keeping on :P

Yummy Cereal Treats from Sheep

Hola amigos!

I know, this is your favorite day of the week...it's Foodie Time with your best friend Sheep!

Also, today is the Oscars!! So I thought I would give you a great recipe that will make everyone wanna come over to your house for an awesome Oscars party.

My sister made these cereal treats for me a couple times and they are just irresistible! Both kids AND adults love em!

What's great about the whole concept of homemade cereal treats is that you can do whatever you want with them. Pick your favorite cereal and add some chocolate and peanut butter and marshmallows and all that good stuff and you've got a tasty treat!

Another plus is that it's pretty easy and quick to make, so it's great if you're having some friends over or a little party.

So I hope you guys make this delicious sweet treat sometime! It's one of my favorites!

And you can earn extra sheep points if you make your own little recipe!

HAPPY OSCARS! Tell me and Bull who you think was best and worst dressed, since the fashion is our favorite part of award shows!

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation Review

Bon Jour!!

I have an obsession with makeup (just ask sheep). I have this urge to constantly buy the newest and shiniest products and tools; however to tend to resist and wait until I've finish one product Tito buy another.

So anyways recently I bought the 'long-wear even finish compact foundation' by Bobbi Brown. This product is grand-spanking new and works wonders on uneven, red or acned skin.

I'm prone to acne and redness and this foundation is creamy and rich and applies with ease. I wasn't that cheap ($46) but it wasn't that expensive either.

I think the price is worth it and it is totally cracked up to what it's tasks to do. Bobbi Brown claimed "Your can't-live-without liquid foundation, now in a fuss-free compact. Perfectly matched to skin tone and texture, it never looks fake or makeup-y, just like smooth, even skin. With 12 hours of flawless, oil-free wear, all you see is your skin - at its best. Plus, it's completely portable, too - with a hidden sponge applicator right in the compact - so you look polished wherever you go.".

I think this statement is oh-so true! The packaging is sleek and allows easy portable fixes. It makes skin easily and doesn't get cakey or overly oily looking on oily skin. It's supposed to be 12 hour long, however I haven't checked this theory (I remove my makeup when I get home if I'm not goiing anywhere; like at 5 pm) since I don't wear makeup for 12 hours.

I would suggest this product to those of you who have acne to cover, redness to hide or just uneven skin. This foundation is heavy coverage, but doesn't look gross and heavy. It doubles as concealer and can very easily perfect your completion.

"Good makeup doesn't look like we'll applied makeup; it looks like go skin."
- women who suggested this product at a Bobbi Brown Studio

I hope you guys liked my review and try out this product!
Have a sweet weekend!

High Fashion OOTD with bull

Hey my fashionistas!

I've been spending some time in NYC, the fashion capital of the USA. The city is buzzing and bright and full of high fashion. I've been to the FIT museum (they're having a great exhibit of uber high-fashion shoes). Also I've been seeing many savvy men and women).

I've created and outfit ideal for fashion shows and exhibits that is comfy, stylish, and quirky.

I started out with the trend 'white on white' (with the skirt and button up shirt). After a while I got extremely bored with this white combo and decided to start with this trend but at a twist with the blue embellishments. Then I added a hot pair of 'litas' by Jeffery Campbell (my dream shoes) and a leather jacket to edge up the look. The brass key earrings, cross-body bag and ring were to add an element of vintage spice (like the jalapeƱo peppers of fashion, SPICY)!

Lastly I added a nice bright lipstick to complete the look.

I hope you all enjoy this high-fashion inspired look.

Stay fierce!!!

Katniss Braid by Sheep

HAPPY HUNGER GAMES!!

Today I thought I would show you guys how to do a Katniss braid, one of my faves.

Now, I don't know the real name of this braid, but after the Hunger Games movie, the name sorta caught on.

So here's what you'll need:

A brush or comb
A hair tie
Braiding experience (you should know how to do a regular braid and a French braid beforehand)

I like to do this braid either when I'm running late in the morning and my hair is sort of a mess, or I just washed my hair and I don't feel like leaving it out.

Start by parting your hair to the side, NOT directly in the middle because I find that that looks a little weird (I also just don't like middle parts in general).

Take a small section of hair on the parted side with less hair, so if you have bangs, they will be left out that. Split that section into 3 equal parts (the smaller the parts, the more precise the braid will be).

Now is the time that you would usually put one strand over the other and pick up a piece and another strand and so on if you were gonna do a regular French braid, but THIS is an awesome kick ass Katniss braid, so it's a bit different...

Instead of crossing strands over, cross them UNDER. Keep picking up strands as usual (remember that the smaller the strand you pick up, the more accurate the braid will look) but remember to cross them under.

You'll soon notice that the braid will look like its sticking up out of your head, unlike a regular French braid that looks like its in your head. So keep braiding and don't stop!! You wanna keep the braid going around the back of the head.

This part is hard because you have to reach your arms back pretty far, but it's okay, you get some muscles AND some cool looking hair out of doing this braid :). When you're getting around the back of your head, it's really important to pull the hair tight and DON'T have a loose grip, or else the braid will sag and fall apart.

Once the braid reaches the opposite ear, stop "Katniss" braiding and just do a regular braid. As usual, leave a little bit of hair at the end and secure it with a hair tie.

And there you go! You look like Katniss Everdeen! Crossing the strands under instead of over makes the braid stick out, so you look really tough and fierce. Your first time doing the braid is really hard and it might not look exactly how you wished, but keep trying and you'll be able to do it in less then 5 minutes!

The first couple times, I would do this braid on someone else so you get the hang of it, and then try it on yourself. I think it's also easiest to do it with wet hair because its nice and straight, and when my hair is dry, it's really curly and wavy so it's hard to keep track of my strands.

So I hope you try this braid, it just looks awesome on everybody!

Stay cool, my sheep. And may the odds be ever in your favor ;).

Sheep and the Amazing World of 3-D Chalk Art

Hi guys!

Alright, today's post is quite an awesome one, folks, so please, hold onto your sheep.

3-D CHALK ART!!!

Basically, these super talented artists draw all these cool pictures in chalk that look like they're actually real.

As soon as my mom's friend Jeff showed this to me, I REALLY wished that this kinda stuff went on in my town, but so far, no 3-D chalk art on the sidewalks.

It's so cool because they look like they're coming out at you and it creates the most fantastic illusion!! So if you take a picture with yourself on the sidewalk with the art, it could look super funny.

The picture I have here is just one of the many pictures of 3-D chalk art, but it's one of my favorites.

The guy just looks so thrilled even though he's being eaten by a chalk shark.

So I hope you guys have some 3-D chalk artists in your town...or maybe you can earn extra sheep points if you become one yourself!!

Send me and Bull any other cool pictures you find, as always.

Stay laughing my sheep,

Trendy Tuesday: green smoothies

Hey guys!

I decided that instead of 'Trendy Tuesdays' just being fashion and makeup related the sheep and I would throw in health and body related things as well.

So green smoothies (or health smoothies) have been very popular recently and have created a large buzz among vegans, raw vegetarians, vegetarians ( <--like data-blogger-escaped-and="" data-blogger-escaped-br="" data-blogger-escaped-eaters.="" data-blogger-escaped-healthy="" data-blogger-escaped-me="">
Green smoothies are very healthy and can give you a great boost of energy!

I have green smoothies before yoga and for any day that I want to start out ready to hit the books (or maybe the gym)!

Most green smoothies either have kale or spinach. Spinach and kale are both super foods, and are packed with antioxidants!

There are millions of green smoothies you can make and try but here is my recipe ( modified from )

1 cup of spinach
1 frozen banana
1 peeled orange
1/3 a cup of plain yogurt
A handful of pineapple
Honey to taste

1) blend
2) pour and serve
(drink it right after you make it for best flavor)

Green smoothies are really healthy and super easy and delicious!

Hope you guys like this fad (it's yummy) and try my recipe!

Interesting Things #3

Bull and I did a cover of It's Time by Imagine Dragons!!

I'm on the piano and Bull is singing. In the song, there's supposed to be a piano part, singing, and stomping, so it's pretty hard to do all at the same time.

So Bull just sang and I played the piano, and we'll probably add the stomping in later.

Also, we apologize for the chirping in the background. We did the cover at Bull's house and she's got some pretty noisy birds :)

And we did this all by ear, no checking on Youtube for notes or anything!

So check it out and tell us what you think!

Sheep is Currently Listening to...

BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB!!!!

A couple months ago, I was just chillin and listening to Spotify, skipping a bunch of tracks because I've already heard them before. Then, a different song comes on. And it has this awesome piano beat to it.

So I grab my phone and look at the title:

"Shuffle" by Bombay Bicycle Club

I keep listening to the song, and replay it about a million times because it was just that good!

So then I go on YouTube and look up more songs from the Bombay Bicycle Club, and I find "Beggars" and "Lights Out, World Gone" by them.

And then I listen to those songs for about 3 hours, while I do my geometry homework :)

And seriously, it wasn't just like those kinds of songs that you're obsessed with for a day, and then you pretty much forget about it the next day. No, I am STILL obsessed with the band and their songs.

And I always will be!

It's kinda like my relationship with Coldplay: I will always love them :)

Their songs are really catchy, but not the kind that annoys you to death. I would say that their music is indie rock/alternative (which is me and Bull's favorite type of music!).

The lead singer has a very different but cool voice, and I LOVE it.

So please, check out music from the Bombay Bicycle Club, especially Shuffle, Beggars, and Lights Out World Gone.

BTW Beggars is kinda a sad song, but it's very good, so just keep laughing like a sheep and you'll get through it ;)

Ta ta for now,

Bull's Mediterranean salad

In my family we have several 'go-to' salads, one is a delicious Mediterranean salad with broccoli, chickpeas and tomatoes. My mother found this in 'Food everyday' (a cookbook by Martha Stewart)

The original recipe

So heres what you need:
(serves six)

1 pound broccoli
1 table spoon of Dijon mustard
2 table spoons red-wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 small red onion, minced
course salt
fresh ground pepper
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained rinsed

1) cut the florets from the broccoli (reserve the stalks for another use). In a large pot filled with a steamer basket, bring 1 inch of water to a boil. Add the broccoli in a single layer. Cover; steam until crisp-tender (about 5 minutes).

2) In a large bowl, whisk together the mustard, vinegar, olive oil and minced onion; season with salt and pepper

3) add the tomatoes, chickpeas and broccoli; toss to coat. serve chilled or at room temp.

So I hope you guys like this salad it's DELICIOUS!

Enjoy your weekend and post a comment below if you make this!

Moisturize Your Inner Sheep

Aloha buddies,

I know Bull usually does something makeup related today, but I though we should broaden the topic a bit and make Saturday posts body-related. So we could do makeup, or nail polish, or some sort of product for your face or body.

Today, since its been pretty cold, I thought I would post about my new extra rich lotion.

Dry skin is the most annoying thing for me to deal with. Right after I get out of the shower, my skin immediately tightens up and I get really itchy and dry. If you've ever felt like this, you know that it feels really uncomfortable and flaky. This happens especially during these cold winter months, so I really needed a solution.

I used to use this Wonderstruck body lotion that smelled like the perfume from Taylor Swift (one of my favorites) and it made me smell really nice. Only thing was that it was probably the thinnest lotion ever and could not be used as a moisturizer at all, because it really just smells good and that's it.

I used Jergens for a little bit, which was okay, but I had to constantly reapply throughout the day. The same thing happened with Aveeno, Lubriderm, and Cetaphil.

Then, I found my life saver!! I got this Eucerin Original Healing body lotion that was, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being extremely rich and creamy, DEFINITELY a 10. I put it on right after my shower, as I usually do, and it made my skin really soft and smooth, and my skin was glowing all over!

The lotion has no unusual or weird smell to it, which is great. So you can still put your favorite perfume on without having to worry about this gross ointment stink from some other greasy lotion.

Although, I must say that it was so thick that it was kinda hard to put on, and you really gotta rub it in a lot. It takes some time to apply it all over your body, but it was totally worth it because I didn't have to worry about my skin cracking during the day! The skin around my knuckles, my knees, and my elbows would peel and crack so much from the cold weather that they would bleed! But Eucerin helped me with that problem.

So if you suffer from intense dry skin like I do, then go to your local drugstore and get some Eucerin Original Healing lotion. It doesn't cost much either.

Have fun moisturizing my sheep friends! Laugh like a sheep when you put on the lotion too...it kinda tickles because it's so thick :)

Love,
Sheep

Sheep and her Army Green Obsession

Heyyyy

Before I even start, I just wanna say that I'm VERY proud of this post, and I can totally see myself wearing this in the spring/summer. And I really hope you wear something like this too, because it's one of my favorite outfits!

Army green has been in style for a little bit, and I'm REALLY loving it. I think you can wear it casually or you can make it really fancy, and it looks great on tan AND light skin!

It looks great with black or white, but I really like it with coral, a creamy white color, yellow, or gray. But the truth is, it goes with just about everything! I just think its a good base for any outfit. Black and white are kind of like the common neutral bases that people always turn to, but army green is a funky way to bring some change to your outfit!

I chose this AWESOME army green skirt that I absolutely ADORE. The shirt is black with this tribal/Aztec kinda pattern on it with bright orange and pink and blue. When you pair army green and black, then you look pretty badass :). And white with army green makes your skin look GLOWING.

I picked very casual jewelry for this outfit, no pops of color or anything. I just wanted to kept the casual but cool feeling going, so I picked a very faded and distressed bronze ring and a leather bracelet.

However, there's so many things you can do with this outfit. If you wear the skirt with a plain white shirt, you can rock the outfit with some bright, statement jewelry.

But, ya know, I'm a sucker for casual and understated yet chic stuff like this.

Although, I felt like I was being a little too bronzey and leathery, so I added a pop of orange and gold in the shoes.

I usually don't put a hair style in my outfits, I leave that up to my little sheep :). But I felt like this outfit just REQUIRED a messy high bun. It just adds to the laid back and effortless feel of the outfit! I LOVE IT!

And I really hope you do too, or find some other creative way to wear army green. There are really just so many options.

So have fun wearing army green, and you'll laugh like a sheep when your outfit is cuter than everyone else's!

Peace love ARMY GREEN,

Bull: spring wedding outfit

The most beautiful thing is a spring wedding in a field surrounded by flowers.
You can feel love and magic in the air!
I went to my second cousins wedding when I was 10 in Holland, Michigan. It smelled sweet and everyone was dressed so beautifully.

Here is an outfit for you if you may be attending such a wedding!

The skirt is a nice pop or color and the white tones it down (without you looking like the bride). The heels are a sweet metallic, which adds a touch of glamour. The triangle mint colored necklace is for more added color and dimension.

This outfit is comfy (no heels) and looks put together and easy-breezy! The outfit is chic and stylish!

I hope you enjoy this look and have a wonderful weekend!

tips for bangs with Bull

Hey!

So maybe you're like me and you have fringe or bangs (or maybe u are considering getting bangs cut) if you have bangs or may be getting them, this post is for you.

Fringe are like children; if you don't take care of 'em they can end up really messed up.

Before you get bangs cut make sure you are up for it.
If you like to wash your hair daily bangs can be easy for you, since they are shorter hair they get oilier faster and either need to be washed really well daily (or every other day if you have  drier hair) or pulled back if you skip a wash.

I wash my hair one day then skip a wash, and wash the next day
( every other day); normally I'll wear my fringe (bangs not straight across my face; smaller side bangs) the day I washed it (or the next day if I wash at night) and pin then up the following day.

Make sure if you wash daily that you condition them because dry bangs are gross and look like straw (this is not a barn yard, even if we are sheep and bull).

Blow drying your bangs can help them fall correctly (a flat iron works too), also there are products made to keep shine on your hair without being super gross (serums/botanic oils). Argon oil works great for this but can be overly oily sometimes.

Anyways I hope this tips helped you!

Overall bangs look great if you maintain them and find a easy way you like to style them and a routine that works for you!

Enjoys your valentines day!

Cool Pictures with Sheep

Hey y'all,

This picture is kind of awesome. As you know, I am a HUGE fan of spicy stuff, especially hot sauce. Also, I think pop art is a really cool way to funk up a picture.

When I saw this picture, I immediately saved it and made it my lock screen on my iPhone :)

I know, I know, if you don't like hot sauce (which I would be pretty mad about) then you probably don't appreciate the picture as much as I do. So, find another pop art picture!

Let's say you like llamas (has gotta be my favorite animal...or maybe yaks, or elephants) then find a cool pop art llama picture and it just looks so much better!

Or, if you wanna be REALLY artsy, then make your own! If you have photoshop, then you can easily tweak the colors and make a fabulous creation.

Sorry if I'm being like an annoying teacher, but I'm giving you sheep some homework. Find an awesome pop art picture and leave a comment for me and Bull with it. Extra SHEEP points if you make your own work of art!

So get out there and be POP artsy, my little sheep! See the world like its all in pop art, and you'll probably laugh like a sheep because that's pretty darn weird ;)

Toodles!

Trendy Tuesday w/ Bull

Hola,

A popular trend has been velvet; I love velvet and always have. The material looks kinda shiny and is really soft.

The thing about velvet however is that most velvet things are dark colors, try a bright velvet to add some brightness and warmth into your winter.

Maybe a velvet dress with cuts-outs, or a velvet skirt with lace; wear it in a fun and flirty way!

Patterned velvet is super cute too!

Just have fun with the fabric!!!

Stay stylish!

Bull: Music Monday!!

Hiya,

So I don't know about you guys, but I tend to really love a song for a while and then I end up forgetting about it. I used to really like the song 'RadioActive' by Imagine Dragons, but i forgot about it until recently. I went to see 'Warm Bodies' with Sheep and halfway through the movie this songs comes on, to make a long story short I ended up singing really loud along with it and Sheep was like 'WTF!'.

Anyways I showed Sheep the song after the movie and she loved it. We have an obsession with this song and Sheep even thought herself how to play in on the piano (she's AMAZING). This is one of those songs I rock out to in the morning when I'm getting ready and when I take showers this song is at max volume!

So anyways the song starts out with a really nice harmonizing and an acoustic guitar and then all of a sudden sirens go off and a loud drum beat starts. The singing is so amazing and the lyrics are so deep. The song has to do with the apocalypse, but it's funny because the song is about excepting change; welcome to the new age. The song has great techno sounds without sounding like dubstep and a really cool moment when there is a breath being taken loudly (at about 40 seconds into the song), which sounds like the singer is relieved or shocked for some reason (maybe).

The music video is really interesting; you start by seeing a hooded girl walking with a cage. You then flash to seeing the band members in a prison type surrounding behind bars. The girl arrives at a dog fight where men are gambling. Dan the lead singer is beating a drum and singing (not behind bars anymore). Instead of dogs fighting, stuffed animal creatures are fighting; the girl challenges the champion for a fight with her stuffed creature (is this weird to anyone besides me). Then her stuffed animal kicks the other guys ass with magic; then all the gamblers try to capture the girls animal, but they  all fail. They steal the key from the bosses neck (the guys that runs the place) and the free the band members from the cells (this is "f'd"up).

I really hope you guys enjoy this song and research imagine dragons, because they are so greatly talented! Remember just feel a surge of power of the music positively overwhelm you and enjoy their breathtaking music.

Sheep's Delicious Salsa

Hola amigos!

How goes it? Sorry about this late post. Sundays are just so lazy and slow, you know?

Anyways, back to the recipe for my mom's awesome salsa. We would make beans, Mexican rice, and this salsa sometimes. It tastes really good if you put some chips in a bowl, pile on the beans, sprinkle some cheese, rice, a couple spoons of salsa, and a dollop of sour cream on top! The cheese gets all melty and the beans are all steamy and the sour cream is all fresh and the salsa is nice and spicy and pair it all with some CHIPS and it's all just like heaven.

That's what we did on my birthday and Bull came over. She thought it was OUTSTANDING!! I mean, it truly was. And I asked my mom to make it for my birthday because it is my FAVORITE dish!

Whenever Bull comes over, we are gonna have a fiesta with this salsa.

So, now that I've made your mouth water, here's the recipe:

1 large can of crushed tomatoes (22.5 oz)
1 medium red onion, diced
1-2 jalapeƱos, minced (add more or less to taste)
2 medium cloves of garlic, minced
1 medium bunch of cilantro, chopped
1 lime, juiced
1 tbsp sugar
cumin to taste
salt to taste
pepper to taste

There's really no exact recipe for this salsa, you can basically just add however much you want of each ingredient to it.

Over the years, my family had also added agave nectar to the salsa, which is kinda like a substitute to sugar. It tastes really nice and is a different but delicious kind of sweetness.

One time we were out of limes but we had, like, 20 lemons. So we tried it with lemons instead and it still tasted good!

We also LOVE spicy stuff, so we add a lottttt of jalapeƱos to the salsa too. And we add red pepper flakes. But if you aren't that kind of person, then fine! This salsa is so basic so you can add anything you like to it and it will still taste great!

So definitely try making this salsa! As you can see, there isn't much to it and it takes about 15 minutes to make.

And if you want to be REALLY awesome, then whip up some black beans and rice and you've got a great meal! Everyone will wanna go to your house because you're the kid with the cool salsa!!!

Also, next time I make the salsa, I'll post a picture of it so you can see just how yummy it looks!

Alright, I'd better go because writing this post is making me really hungry, and I really want some salsa right now, but we are out of crushed tomatoes. Maybe you guys could make some and then sent it to me? That'd be great :)

Peace out sheep scouts,

Bull's favorite primers

Howdy,

So I think a lot of people underestimate the power of a good primer. When I first started using makeup primer wasn't something that I thought about, but now I won't wear makeup without a primer. If you wear foundation, face powder, blush, whatever; you have to wear a facial primer. Wearing primer helps with the products pigment and it makes the product last longer and look better.

When you wear eyeshadow there is 95% of the time FALLOUT! Fallout is super annoying (you don't want to have sparkly under-eye-bags), wearing a primer can reduce fallout and make the eyeshadow look brighter for a longer amount of time.

I've used several primers. I've used 4 MAC paint-pot primers, 3 tarte primers and a handful of drugstore and lower quality primers.

What I have noticed is that if you spurge on an expensive and high quality primer you can wear a cheap eyeshadow or foundation and it will look great.

My current favorite eye primer is the 'soft ochre' MAC paint pot (I liked Painterly). It's nice and creamy and dries nicely. It doesn't cake and keeps your eyeshadow creaseless. It's also not too expensive (I got it for $18.95, $20 with tax)

My facial primer is by Tarte, the 'Clean slate flawless 12-hr brightening primer'. It applies smoothly and works really nicely. I keeps my foundation, concealer, blush and powder from getting clumpy or extra dry looking. It's a little more expensive ($30, but the full size bottle have a lot of product in it. I bought a trio package from Sephora that was on sale. It came with there flawless face primer, poreless face primer and cleanslate 360 creaseless eye primer (**which was $9, a total bargain with two other good primers**).

So I hope this helped you guys and maybe now you'll understand the importance of a good primer!!!!! (haha)

SAYONARA GUYS!!!

Sheep's Ideal Winter Outfit

Salutations Earthlings!!

So if you live on the east coast in the US, then you may have noticed that it has been REALLY cold these past few weeks. Not to mention it's been snowing the whole day too. Sooooo if you don't want to look like a big puffy marshmallow, here are some tips for still rockin those cute outfits even though it's 20 degrees outside!!

As you can see, I have picked out some jeans, a peacoat, gloves, and some good sturdy boots. Now these aren't just any old boring jeans and a coat, I added a nice pop of orange in the peacoat! If you're not a fan of orange (which is um, kind weird...) then pick your favorite bright color for the coat.

But there's a rule!! If you want to add a pop of color, then you gotta surround it with neutral colors so the bright color will stand out. Also, too many bright colors hurt people's eyes, and I'm sure you don't want to do that!

That's why I have some light wash jeans, and they have polka dots, which I think is just adorable...

Let me tell you, your hands get pretty darn cold when it's like, 20 degrees out. So I added some black gloves with fur lining, which will keep you extra warm.

If you don't like the boots, FINE!! I think they're cute, AND they're durable, although some people think they're kinda manly looking. But if you don't like them, then you can wear any other boots, like Hunters, possibly.

The scarf is also neutral, but with a pattern. It's white and gray plaid and its wool: extra warm and comfy!

The shirt is a white comfy and soft textured sweater. You really can't go wrong with a white sweater ;)

You can add another pop of color, but in something small, like nail polish or a piece of jewelry. So I selected a great turquoise nail polish that will bring some PIZZAZZ to your outfit! I didn't put any jewelry in the outfit, but you can definitely go for a cool statement necklace or ring...that would be pretty badass...

And that's my ideal winter outfit! I hope it inspired you and your next outfit choice.

And remember, just because it's cold outside doesn't mean you have to look like a big blob of boring colors. Bring some POP to that outfit!

Now you go put on that bright coat and laugh like a sheep when you see everybody in those boring jackets and jeans.

Cuz you're gonna look AWESOME in your stylish winter outfit!

Frizz-Ease Smoothing Cream Therma-Guard

What's happening,

I cannot stress enough how important it is to have some time of heat protectant for your hair if you straighten, curl, crimp or blow-dry it.

I blow-dry my hair often, but I also straighten my already straight hair (because I braid it before I sleep when I'm too lazy to do it at night)

I've used several heat protectants and smoothing milks/serums which not only smooth your hair, but protect it from the harm you're causing it
(even if it looks cute).

Lately I've been using 'Frizz-Ease Straight Fixation smoothing cream' by John Frieda.

It's a Therma-Guard, which protects your locks from being fried
(you don't want French Fry hair) .

It's pretty much like wearing sunscreen when you sunbathe
(so you don't get burned)!

It's not greasy and isn't gloopy. The product itself isn't really expensive and the bottle is a decent size. It adds moisture to your hair and protects your hair when you style with heat!

I give it a 4.5/5

I totally suggest you buy this if you use heat tools on your hair.

Have a great Thursday guys!

Sheep's Amazing Picture

Salve!!!! (Hello in Latin)

A couple days ago, Bull and I were waiting at the bus stop and it was flurrying outside. We were talking about music and school and weird stuff, as usual, when all of a sudden, Bull shouts, "OH MY GOD!!! There's a perfect snowflake in your hair!!"

So she grabbed my phone and snapped a couple pics. Most of them were pretty blurry....except for one PERFECT one where you could see a couple flecks of snow in my hair and the pretty, one-of-a-kind snowflake. I think the picture looks pretty cool and kinda artsy, so I made it my lock screen background and now I'm sharing it with you! I really hope you think this picture is as awesome as I think it is!

Also, the moment was pretty special. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a perfect snowflake like that before.

So, when it snows again, find a perfect snowflake!! Really, it made my day when that happened.

And then please laugh like a sheep, because that will make my day too.

See ya pal!! (Like Eddie in Friends)

Bull: How to wear orange lipstick.

Hey Guys,

So a recent trend has been wearing orange lipstick. This trend has been seen on many fashion icons lately.

This trend is really beautiful and very easy to achieve. I've been using a Sephora lipgloss that is a bright orange and was only $3.

I think this trend will look great for spring with florals or a classic white dress.

When you wear a bold lip color like orange make sure the rest of your makeup is neutral and not too bright.

Too many bold pieces in one outfit is too bright and can be over powering.

I tend to wear my orange lipgloss with a simple outfit and I make sure my blush is pink, not coral; because it looks too similar to orange.

You can't go wrong with a bold lip!
I hope you guys like this trend as much as me!
